1.5 Million Verdict Sidhom v. Ipecki

It is important to note that during the entire phase of this case, Defendants did not offer any monies on the case and refused to even up to trial. Not persuaded, Mr. Haddad continued his clients case despite resistance from the Court and Defendants that Plaintiffs case had no merit.

The facts of the case are as follows:

While performing work on the Defendant’s premises, a new home construction, Plaintiff, Mina Sidhom was caused to trip over a piece of metal sticking up out of the ground. In an attempt to remove the hazard, Mr. Sidhom attempted to hammer the piece of metal down. While doing so, a shard dislodged from the metal and into his left eye. Over the course of the ensuing two (2) years, Mr. Sidhom underwent eight(8) surgeries to his left eye. Despite the surgeries, he did not regain the sight in his left eye. Plaintiff was 32 years old at the time of trial.

VERDICT: After a 5 day trial, the jury returned a $1.5 million verdict against Defendant, Hikmet Ipecki (100% against Defendant, 0% against Plaintiff)
